What began as an exploration of my own family’s history in Miami—stories of immigration from Cuba, early hotel life, and the places my family once passed through—expanded into a broader reflection on the city itself. NOW BOARDING: MIAMI grew from personal memory into a citywide archive, preserving the architecture, signage, and everyday scenes that connect individual stories to a shared cultural past.
