NOW BOARDING: MIAMI (Briefcase Edition)

is a traveling art show born from movement, chance encounters, and conversation. Using a vintage briefcase sourced from an estate sale, I transformed a functional object into a mobile exhibition—housing my latest body of work blending collage and original photography of Miami.

During Art Miami, the briefcase became both gallery and icebreaker. Carried through fairs, streets, and spontaneous meetings, it invited curiosity, slowed people down, and created space for genuine dialogue. Each opening of the case became an intimate moment—art experienced up close, outside traditional walls, shaped by the people who encountered it.

This project explores Miami not just as a place, but as a feeling—layered, sun-washed, nostalgic, and constantly in motion. The briefcase functions as a symbol of travel, memory, and storytelling, allowing the work to live wherever conversation happens.

The Beach Towel Art Show

The Beach Towel Art Show is a clever, community-driven Miami Art Week tradition that turns the beach into an open-air gallery, using towels as an accessible and culturally loaded medium. The format smartly removes barriers between art and audience, embracing play, public space, and everyday objects.

As part of the group exhibition, I presented a beach towel featuring an image from my NOW BOARDING: MIAMI series—placing the work directly within Miami’s beach culture and extending the project’s exploration of movement, leisure, and place beyond traditional gallery walls.

Monad: Global Pulse

I participated in Monad: Global Pulse during Miami Art Week, contributing two portraits as part of the group exhibition. The event brought together contemporary artists in a shared exploration of culture, presence, and visual storytelling, situating my portrait work within a broader global dialogue.

WANA CREATE:

NIGHT SHIFT

I was selected as part of the artist lineup for Wana Create’s Nightshift in Miami, a curated creative gathering that centers conversation, process, and community. The event brings together artists and makers to share their work in an open, dialogue-driven format outside traditional exhibition settings.

During Nightshift, I spoke about my portrait practice and my ongoing project NOW BOARDING: MIAMI, offering insight into my creative process and engaging with the local creative community through discussion and exchange.

PHOTO WALK: PHOTO TALK

I was invited as a guest speaker for Photo Talk 305, a Miami-based photography series focused on critique, dialogue, and creative growth. During the talk, I presented selected works and shared my creative process, discussing my conceptual portrait practice and how photography, collage, and experimental printing intersect within my ongoing project NOW BOARDING: MIAMI.

Following the presentation, I participated in an open critique session, offering feedback to emerging and established photographers as part of the program’s collaborative exchange.
