This series merges mid-century nostalgia with contemporary travel photography. Drawing from vintage magazines of the 1940s, ’50s, and ’60s, Lex carefully selects and cuts out imagery that captures their imagination—figures, food, typography, and iconic branding—then overlays these elements onto original photographs of landscapes, architecture, and everyday moments captured while traveling. While the photography documents real and often unposed scenes, the collaged additions offer a stylized layer of expression. The result is a visual dialogue between past and present, where Lex uses vintage ephemera to inject personal narrative and creative play into each image.
